I did the same thing playing in the online league against Micko. You should have heard the language when the T19 went in!Jockenaria wrote:I had 139 left last night and ended up leaving d1, didn't get a shot at it though!!

Re: 127 left and BUST!
I am taking a bit of a break from league darts due to a rotator cuff problem in my throwing shoulder. However, I went to a bar down the block from me to watch some friends play their league match and wound up keeping score for all the 01 games.
Here's one for the books that one of the opposing team's players shot. He had 64 left and stepped to the line and threw at the T-8 or T-16 and hit a S-16 leaving 48. His next dart was for the S-16 but hit S-8 and left 40. I immediately locked in on the D-20 for a finish and heard his dart hit the board------in a S-8. The opposing team had 97 and their player knew what he was doing when he hit T-19, D-20 for the win. After the game I asked the guy why he did that and not go for the win. He said he liked D-16 more than double tops-----------and I just walked away shaking my head in disbelief. Never pass up an opportunity to win if your opponent is on a finish.
I am amazed at how few people truly know their outs in much of our league play. I can understand it with the Bronze and Silver Divisions, but Gold and Platinum players often make some stupid mistakes and this was from a Gold 1 player.

Fucking right I did but it was on the old thread mate. Both times I thought just a tad over the top and the buggers flew straight in!

Do it mate. It's without doubt the most frustrating game to play but when it goes well............
