Not sure about GPS, but the grip pattern does look interesting and possibly advantagous ?

Hope someone who has a set can give their opinion. Wot the hell, I picked up $470 on the cricket yesterday, so I might part with $100 on some C6's.
If I don't like em, they'll go on Ebay.

Re: Target Carrera Darts
Hey doG
I tried carrera 3 21g because I struggled to get the right amount of grip with other darts the same shape my others are 950 sigma
they have lots of grip but not too much... I bloody love them now
I picked up 1 set on fleabay for $40 AU in the UK sent over by a friend in Scotland
my other set I scored at comp for the same bucks because the guy didn't like them
cheers

Re: Target Carrera Darts
Thanks CQ and welcome to the Darts Forum.
Yeah, the grip pattern was what attracted my attention to the Carrera's. I won some Ice darts a few weeks ago and they have a razor grip, found it way to grippy, felt like the darts were staying in my hand after release and thus being dragged down a little on release ? So just didn't feel right and have been earmarked as a Christmas present. Just hoping these C6's do the job for me, as the Gary Anderson phase 2's I'm using now aren't cutting the mustard like I first thought. I'm noticing inconsistent landing angles. So my fingers are obvioulsy not happy with the placement of the scallop.

Re: Target Carrera Darts
Mate, mate mate....
I've receievd the C6's and played around with stems and flights, they're ok . but yet, not perfect. I like them better than the GA scolloped darts, as then scallope is just a fraction too aft. But, the C6's are too forward weighted for me. Yeah yeah, here I go again.....but yes, I'm going to try the c3's like you. They seem centralised weighted and the barrels are longer, the C6 barrel is only 42mm long. I've never thrown a Centraly weighted dart, and this will be an expsensive exercise ! But will sell them on, on the local Ebay tyoe thing.

Re: Target Carrera Darts
Yeap, these are now my arrows of choice...
Target Carrera C3's 25gm
Harrows Magnetic short stems
Standard flights
Target precision 26mm concentric grip points.
Been chucking them for a week now. The grip is good, effective without being overbearing like razor grip.
I've gone back to Harrows magnet stems, as they at weight aft, and quite a bit of weight as the magnet is on the end. So this helps keeping the flights down so I can use my prefered 'Dog' flights. If only I could convince Harrows to make the dog graphic flights in Kite shape

What attracted you to the Carreta style ? The Bitchen look, they do look good, but they are also very functional.Lee Taylor wrote:Nice looking set up there mate.doG wrote:Yeap, these are now my arrows of choice...

Yeah nah sure they are expensive, but hey, if your not happy with your darts you are just going to change stems, stem lengths, flights, flight shape, points, point lengths. There's so many variables considering how simple a dart looks.
I like the bling look of these Carrera's and the grip pattern works. As does the central weighting - For me. So these Barrels with any luck will be my last for a while. I say a while, as I'm still a big fan of scallop grip, except no manufacturer has placed the scallop in the perfect position for me.....bastards
