nah, ive lost count of the time ive busted 140 by slamming one into the treble trying to leave myself tops with a single though.

Was also on a 14 darter after hitting 60, 60, 140, 140. Took another six darts to finish off the remaining 101!

The first 180 I hit as a kid was when I had 185 left. Once I hit the 1st 2 there was no way I wasn't going for the third one.

I just threw the last dart too well expecting it to go over the top of the other two. Lesson learned

mentioned this before, but the first 180 I ever got was in the pub as I had no board back then, it was the same leg i got a 134 finish (60,60,14)........and only barely won the leg as I had 5 visits of 26 or other pathetic scores as well.

only i could miss 8 darts at double 1, lose the leg, then step up next leg, aim for treble 20 and land it smack in the middle of double 1 first dart

as dandy can testify, i either hit the double with the first three darts at it, or i never hit it.

A few weeks back my missus thought she'd meet up with Hammy and I when we were playing, then she decided she fancied a game and beat Hammy on D3! Enough was enough so I took out the 301 in eleven darts

i expect to be shit as i am, i laugh ffs.

the incentive is always there and i still enjoy it, for those fleeting moments something goes right!

whatever happens there is always the next visit and the next leg, you just never know when something good might happen!

Years back when I played league I thought I was shit and of course with that attitude I was. Out for the beer and the craic, the darts was incidental. This time round when I was just hitting the board to get away from all the other crap going on I noticed improvements and got to the point I realised I'm not shit.

I'll never be good enough to trouble proper players but I know I can give decent players a game. Hopefully there's more improvement to come but if this as good as I'll get I'll take it
