Local Darts.

Played in the second round of a local competition worth 250euro to the winner tonight, had got past the first round robin series dropping 3 legs out of 15. My opponent was a former Kerry county player, DJ. First to 5 legs to win. Lost the bull so DJ had the throw. No great scores hit, but I missed double 12 for a 98 finish for the first leg. Second leg DJ finished with me on Tops. 2-0 down. Third leg the scoring picked up, but again I missed a double (tops) only to see my opponent take a 3-0 lead. Took the next 4 legs to go 4-3 up, hitting a few 140's and tons, and finishing with at least the second dart at a double. (Thanks to Bobs 27)
In the 8th leg missed 3 darts at double 10 to let DJ in to win the leg.
Won the bull to throw first i the deciding leg. Two bad scores (45 & 55) let me down. By the time I picked it up it was too late and DJ finished x18 with me on 86.
Disappointed to lose, but happy enough with my darts even though I know I can throw better.
One year I got a bike for my birthday. So I went peddling off down the road and knocked an old lady down.
'Can't you ring your bell?' She said. 'I can ring my bell,' I said 'But I can't ride my bike'

Fuckers brought out the food in the middle of my game Dicie, so not only did I lose but I got feck all to eat while the others stuffed their greedy faces.

Good darts, though was it a 160 checkout? or a 3rd dart for the treble that ricocheted off the ceiling light into the double 20?

Only kidding mate. I've seen Snakey play and if hes in the team any bugger that can hold a dart the right way will get picked.

First 2 darts hit treble 20 & was going going for a third & hit the double instead. Still looked pretty good though & I left the darts in the board to show the good lady when she came in from work

Remember my first well, was in the Adam and Eve pub Hayes and also in practice. I've only hit a few in real games, only one in a league game.
